“Love is a fruit in season at all times and within reach of every hand.” – Mother Teresa

Sometimes the line speaks for itself, requires little or no elaboration and acts as the only inspiration needed to make today a better one. If that’s the case for you, enjoy your day filled with the fruits you find and can offer. It’s always interesting though to pull on the thread and see where the words can take us, so here’s a little extra reflection……

Referring to love as something ripe, juicy and always available is a reminder to us all that even on the stormiest, darkest, coldest or otherwise inclement day, all we need to do is stretch out a hand and we can find it.

Here’s the thing though – some days it might feel too hard and it seems that nobody is reaching a hand out towards you. And that can feel like a lonely or desperate place to be. I’ve been there, also most of us will recognise a time where that felt true. So, when those moments strike, here’s some advice from my shadow work teacher:

“Be medicine for others!”

When it looks like there’s no fruit in sight from the hands of others, reach inside yourself and pluck the sweetest and ripest of apples, oranges, pears, cherries, etc. from your own tree – and then offer them to those who might be reaching out and looking. We all have abundance within us and sometimes we need to give if we are to receive. Spreading the love in this way means it will always, eventually, come back to you, perhaps sweeter and juicier!

Who around you today looks like they could do with some extra fruit? Will you act as a vital source for them and offer bountiful love from your own branches?

Love, light and a cherry on top! 🍒🌸
