Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible. – St Francis of Assisi

Ooh this is a good one and it applies to so many situations we can think of, right? So, when you’re looking to achieve a goal, start by determining what has to happen in order for it to be achieved; identify all the steps that you can see are absolutely necessary.

Then look at what you can immediately do, what action you can take there and then, anything that is directly under your control and can be done right away.

The theory of influence should then kick in and, with sufficient a snowball effect, things that you didn’t believe could happen, suddenly start happening…

Believing it to be impossible practically guarantees that it won’t happen. Believing it’s possible is half the battle. So take the steps!

What can you work on today that takes you closer to what you previously thought was impossible? Is there a project out there that is close to your heart yet you are struggling with, because it seems ‘too big, too impossible’?

You can think of a million reasons why it won’t work – so start with believing in just one reason why it will……and see where that takes you!

Love and light,

Jim Sharman
